HOPE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD

HOPE
Is a four letter word
Four letters
Which pull us out of despair
Helps us repair
Our shattered fortunes
Refuels our empty lungs

HOPE
Is a four letter word
Four letters
Which act as pills
For us to recover
From our disturbed past
Making us believe in the present

HOPE
Is a four letter word
Four letters
Which inspire us to create
Something out of nothing
And big things out of small things
Renews our lost dreams

HOPE
Is a four letter word
Four letters
Which keep us alive
To imagine more
Do more
Liberates us to conquer the world

VICTORY DAY

Not by swords

Not by guns

Not by blood

Not by malice

But by saffron

We come home

To the Victory Day

Not by hands

Not by sickles

Not by symbols

Not by signs

But by lotus

We march up

To the Victory Day

Not by murk

Not by conspiracies

Not by blames

Not by bigotry

But by rebel

We rise on

To the Victory Day

Not by losers

Not by rulers

Not by haters

Not by hackers

But by One Great Leader

We surged on

To the Victory Day

Not by religion

Not by remorse

Not by ruin

Not by rot

But by NaMo Mantra

We celebrate grooving

To the Victory Day

Written on the account of NaMo's win and his ascent to the throne of India's PM.

LET ME BE INSANE AGAIN

Towards the ocean
I ran again
Embracing the rains
I felt again
Teasing the pains
I coiled again
Consoling the heart
I said again
Let me be insane again

On the road
I drove again
In the book
I read again
Rewinding the promise
I vowed again
Revealing the aggression
I yelled again
Let me be insane again

Forgetting the world
I danced again
Breaking the rules
I rebelled again
Holding the pen
I wrote again
Recalling the conscience
I sang again
Let me be insane again

Romancing the dark
I loved again
Reviving the past
I succumbed again
Ruling the odds
I evened again
Reaching the crossroads
I chanted again
Let me be insane again

Behind the light
I chased again
Before the insane
I prayed again
Beyond the boundaries
I traversed again
Refreshing the breath
I breathed again
Let me be insane again

Followup to a poem penned by me long ago - SOMETHING INSANE HAPPENED LAST NIGHT

WHO AM I? Matters to me…

From the pen
I hold
From the paper
I scrunch
From the ideas
I abandon
A question arises

From the journeys
I take
From the destinations
I belong
From the milestones
I miss
A question begins

From the music
I create
From the songs
I sing
From the lyrics
I quit
A question echoes

From the lessons
I learn
From the philosophies
I adopt
From the rules
I break
A question bursts

A question
That challenges me
A question
That inspires me
A question
That amplifies me

All it asks
WHO AM I?

Not one
But many replies
Sum it up for me

Who am I?
Matters to me…

I wish to not abandon thee
But want the question to stay with me
For the pure reason
That it matters to me

THE HEART

The heart that beats in us
The heart that makes us live
The heart that surges us ahead

The heart that quivers in us
The heart that urges us happiness
The heart that follows us universally

The heart that adapts in us
The heart that excels us incessantly
The heart that accompanies us eternally

The heart that confides in us
The heart that keeps us excited
The heart that befriends us timelessly

The same heart doesn’t belong to us any more
Misplaced somewhere in the ruins of amore
Washed away and taken aback by an unknown shore
Held by the nature unborn, the heart follows the folklore
Of abandoned romances and hatred of pure

The heart that is so us has grown so silent
Dragged into a bitter lure

SOMETHING INSANE HAPPENED LAST NIGHT

The might of a zero powered bulb
Escalated to the status of a halo
The plight of an arrogantly mannered macho
Depleted to the weakness of a zero

The drunkard from our colony turned into a sage
To sacrifice the wines he got drunk with at every stage
A betrayed lover went on a nasty rampage
Blaming the world for the caused damage

The streetlights turned red maybe with anger or joy
Not letting us know whether it was natural or a ploy
The parents of kids leaped out in search of a toy
They had either misplaced or planned to destroy

The pavement occupying urchins broke into a dance
Not letting anyone know of this impromptu stance
Rich people abandoned their homes for a chance
They had been imagining during many moments of trance

The roads started rolling on rooftops
And the footpaths took a breather for some gallops
Robbers were running insane in search of cops
Probing their identities that had shattered their hopes

The fury of bats overruled the night
Thwarting everything that was wrong or right
Like dead people the world slept with eyes closed tight
Something insane happened last night

A PART OF ME

A part of me pales out
A part of me burns out
A part of me wears out

A part of me questions me
A part of me criticizes me
A part of me rebels me

A part of me walks away
A part of me hides away
A part of me runs away

A part of me deceives me
A part of me mistreats me
A part of me forgets me

A part of me is no more me
A part of me is so much tainted
A part of me is a yesterday of myself

A part of me continues
On a beaten quest of A Part of ‘Me’
